The SC United Bantams will host the Greenville Triumph in the first round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on March 20th at 7 PM. This historic event marks the first time a professional soccer club has played in an official cup match in Columbia, South Carolina.

The Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup is U.S. Soccer's Club Championship and has crowned a champion annually since 1914 (with the exception of 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19). The historic tournament is conducted on a single-game, knockout basis and open to all professional and amateur teams affiliated with U.S. Soccer and is the oldest ongoing national soccer competition in the United States and the world's third-longest continuously run national cup tournament.

The game will take place at the SCUFC Southeastern Freight Lines Soccer Complex located at 115 Sunbelt Blvd., Columbia, SC at 7 PM.  This event is perfect for the whole family with inflatable slides, food trucks, games, and much more! The SC United Bantams compete in the USL League Two, while the Greenville Triumph competes in USL League One. The Bantams secured their spot in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup by finishing in the top 11 in the USL League Two.
